My Review
I just finished reading Volume 3, and I have to say, it felt like a tiny bit of a slower burn compared to the previous volumes. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing, it's more of a cozy read where stuff happens- but also nothing really happens. A little like a slice of life? Akira is definitely starting to care more for Shin, but in what way? That part isn’t entirely clear yet, and that's good seeing Shin is still underage, and it’s important the story doesn’t rush into anything too serious too soon.
One of the main plots in this volume was the teacher Akira had a crush on in the past returning. Seeing Shin get jealous was both endearing and heartbreaking—poor baby! It made for some really interesting scenes that gave us a deeper look into Shin's emotions.
But what really got me was the ending of this volume. It left me seriously questioning Akira’s feelings. Where is this all heading? The way things are developing, I can’t wait for Volume 4 to come out in December so we hopefully can get some answers! I’m secretly hoping for a time skip or at least a few years to pass so we can see an adult Shin. That would open up so many new possibilities for their relationship and the overall storyline.
Until then, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how this dynamic between Akira and Shin continues to evolve. I hope the next volume will have a bit more excitement and continues the story, as I have to be honest- as much as I LOVE this art style, it's one of my favourites, the moments happening in the manga don't really stick with you.
