My Review
OMG, the tension in this manga?? It's SO good!
I can’t even begin to express how hooked I am on this manga right now -from the moment I started reading, I was completely captivated by the storytelling and the gorgeous art style. And don't even get me started on the Sebastian Michaelis lookalike! 🤍 Each panel is so beautifully drawn and there is so much attention to detail.
Speaking of the story—wow, the tension and mystery is done amazingly! Every chapter pulls you deeper and gives you more questions, I even found myself thinking about it randomly during the day, haha!
TW: There's an assault scene that stems from years of pent-up frustration and a desperate need for recognition. It a bit tough because I usually avoid manga with scenes like this but it actually made sense within the context of this story. Unlike some other BL narratives where such scenes can feel forced or out of place, this one felt like it should have been there?
I’m very curious to see how their relationship will evolve from here. There’s so much mystery woven into the story, and I have so many questions that I’m dying to have answered.
If you’re a fan of beautifully illustrated, emotionally charged historical manga with a mysterious twist, this one is definitely worth checking out. I’m completely hooked, and I can't wait to see where the story goes next! It's worth noting it's more of a historical drama with BL on the side so far- but even if pure romance is your main objective I really recommend giving this one a chance.
